I am thinking of the blessings God has given me in this quest for contentment. Will you join me?? I’m hoping to make this something of a continual series so on days (like today) when I am just very disappointed with life and it’s struggles, I can look back and see God’s faithfulness even now.
Today, I am so thankful for my little workout buddy:
We took a walk in the freezing cold and then came inside and did “piwotties” (Pilates). He kept telling me “go fwaster! Go fwaster, Mommy! Wun!” on the walk and it was my best time yet. 😉
You are up. What are the blessings around you today?
I love this idea! I've been struggling with contentment myself.
What are blessings around me today? Hmmm, I'm thankful for the cooler weather and I got a great deal on a bunch of really cute colder weather clothes.
Blessings? A warm house, hot tea and coffee, a laptop that works (it froze up last night and scared me to death)a Teacup Schnauzer cuddled up to me, and no Writer's Block anywhere in sight!
Good post, Erynn. 🙂
How cute is that boy! What a great workout buddy. 😉
I needed this post today! I'm thankful for my family, for creativity and a positive attitude :), and also for the freedoms we enjoy each and every day. Oh! And peppermint white hot chocolate! 🙂
Thankful for my family and friends.
I am thankful and blessed to have my job (even if I get to do it way too often). I am blessed to have both of my parents with me yet–I went to a funeral today of a former co-worker who has lost both of her parents in the last 3 weeks time. I'm also blessed to have a sweet dog laying next to me right now while I'm typing this. God is good!
With a workout buddy like that, I'd probably get more workouts done myself! Too cute! 🙂 I am thankful for my mother. Her birthday is this weekend. She has Parkinson's Disease and her daily life is a huge struggle, but she gets up everyday anyway and keeps on going. I hate to see her like that, but I'm so grateful for one more day that I can call her (we don't live near each other) and hear her voice. I'm truly blessed. Thanks Erynn!
God blessed us so abundantly with our family. I love you all more than life itself and I am blessed beyond words that above being family, we are all the bestest of friends. I am blessed that we all love to hang out together and we get to every week! I am also thrilled it is the season for Pumpkin Spiced Lattes!! There has never been a better drink. Ever. (BTW, we still need to go get ours…) And lastly I am very thankful that I am able to work out again, since my half is in five weeks. That makes me extremely happy! We are blessed, hon! So very, very blessed. You are precious to me. I love you.
I love you so much, Mom!!!
I consider myself super blessed to have you as a friend! Love you girl 🙂
This morning I was actually thankful to wake up to an alarm clock – which, trust me, is not normal for this girl – I truly love to sleep in. However, being an East Coast resident for this season of my life has given me many experiences with power outages. So today, I'm grateful that (for now) the power is on, I have a warm dry place to work, and I even got a warm shower AND got to dry my hair. 🙂 Today it's about seeing the blessings pouring down!
I am thankful for public transportation and electricity. Hurricane Sandy is packing some major winds.
I am thankful that our office is closing at noon so that we can all get to our homes prior to the more dangerous weather moving into the area.
I am thankful for my family that prays on my behalf.

I love this!! Contentment is something that I'm working on too. I'm so incredibly blessed that I have a great family, my sister and I are best friends, the cooler weather and that it is Fall, which means everything is Pumpkin! : )
These are all so wonderful!!! 🙂
