So sorry for the lack of posts lately. I’ve been so spacey-brained I can barely remember to put shoes on to leave the house. That and Jon’s been on his break before teaching summer school starts, so we’ve been getting our house deep cleaned and organized and soaking up the little amount of time we’ve got left with just the two of us. π
It has hit triple digits here several times over the last week, so needless to say, I am SO ready to not be pregnant anymore! I’m roasting! About the only amount of time I spend outside is swimming in my parents’ pool (which feels amazing!).
We had our weekly checkup today and I actually lost a pound this week, which I’ve heard is a good sign that he might be coming soon! The doctor also checked me and Baby N (now I’ve got you guessing!!) is head down – YAY! That is SUCH a relief to here because I’ve been worried that he was sideways or something. π Hoping to be at least a little bit dilated next week!
This week was also the week of cravings – Sunday I would have given my right arm for a Frozen Coke Icee. Jon was such a good husband – after church, we probably drove to about eleven places looking for one (and I called about six others) before we finally found it. And it was GOOD. π
Then Tuesday night, I was planning on making burritos for dinner. Then I started thinking about pizza. So, we pulled out the ads to see if we could find any coupons and that when I saw the ad for Long John Silvers. Pizza and popcorn shrimp? Sounded AMAZING. So we got both. Considering I haven’t really craved anything the rest of this pregnancy, it was a little weird that all of these things hit in one week!
I’m going to post a picture of me at 36 weeks tomorrow and hopefully next week I’ll get back to memory lane! Hope you all are staying cool!
The cravings are so funny! That was awesome of Jon to search for that icee! This is hard to believe, but when I was pregnant I craved lemon alka-seltzer. I couldn't take any being pregnant of course, so I got the next best thing. Plain old club soda. I drank it iced by the liter!
I crave pizza with every single pregnancy….desparately! I get a ton of food aversions, and many tiny cravings that come and go in a few days' time, but the pizza….man, it's perfection. (I need Long John Silvers at least a few times in there as well…hhmm….sounds kinda good right now in fact.)
burger king is having frozen icees for 1.00!!
I think I know your babys name! I have been reading your friends jen (and her husband's) blog and is it Nathan??? π Look forward to you posting pics of when your little one finally arrives π
That's what we call Noah – "Baby N!" =) Cute, cute. =)
I also really wanted coke slurpees too. Crazy how much we are alike, huh??
Love you!
~ Jen
I am gonna guess you're naming your little love Nick π
Oh my gosh, it's coming up quick! You're going to be a Mama, Erynn! ;o) So excited for you. There's nothing like the first time, because you absolutely don't know what to expect.
Hmm… Baby N? I'm going to guess Nathaniel. Nathaniel Jon O'Brien is a rockin' name!
And now I've got a craving for a slushie, and I'm not even pregnant! Blue Raspberry would be so good right about now!
Btw, is there a P.O. Box or something we can send welcome baby cards to?
Now that you're so close to the end I wondered, have you had the "firecracker" comment?
My due date was July 6 and EVERYONE said some variation of "Ooh, maybe you'll have a little firecracker baby!" That pregnancy was definitely God's timing and not my own because, if I had planned it, I would not have been due in the middle of summer, mere days after my husband's birthday. And I did not want to add a major holiday into the mix as well! When I woke up on July 3rd I knew it was THE day and I hoped like crazy, all day long, that she would make her appearance before midnight! =) At 10:06 pm our Matilda was born and everyone was disappointed that we just missed having a "firecracker" baby!
